Basil suffers a stroke

UPFA MP Basil Rajapaksa had been admitted to the National Hospital’s Cardiology Unit last night due to a minor stroke and had returned to the Merchant Ward this morning following check-up, Western Provincial Minister Nimal Lansa said.

“Several tests were carried out on Mr. Rajapaksa last night and discharged today after consultations of a specialist. He is now undergoing treatment at the Merchant Ward,” Mr. Lansa said.
