Sangakkara and Mahela break another record

Kumar Sangakkara has now scored the most runs in the World Cup without being dismissed (325) by beating Ricky Ponting’s previous record of 253 and the first batsman to score 3 consecutive centuries in the World Cup.
On the other hand Mahela Jayawardene who was dismissed cheaply became the second highest player to achieve the most appearances in ODI’s (446) surpassing fellow Sri Lankan Sanath Jayasuriya.
