Former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka was today acquitted from all charges related to the allegations that he had given refuge to army deserters during the 2010 Presidential elections.
Fonseka had been accused of harbouring 10 army deserters at a Colombo hotel during the polls in which he was also a candidate.
The deserters were arrested a day after the 2010 election which was won by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
