A new board of officials was elected on Saturday, Feb. 14, for the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
The executive committee meeting of the party to make the appointments took place in Battaramulla in the Ape Game premises.
The session was presided by Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, President Maithripala Sirisena. A new board of officials was elected to the party at the meeting and several decisions were also announced.
SLFP Vice President, Minister Rajitha Senaratna, said when the senior members of party were arriving for a press conference subsequent to the executive committee meeting, a group of provincial council and local government members had alleged that they were not accorded proper intervention when making the appointments.
