ICC World Cup 2015 Shocker: Pakistan cricket team dragged to High Court

Islamabad, Feb 24: In a shocking development following ICC World Cup 2015 matches, cricket team of Pakistan have been dragged to court.
Following a petition, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday, Feb 23 sent a court notice to the team. Cricketers of the team might be grilled for their "poor performance" in the ongoing World Cup.
Pakistan team lost two consecutive matches against India and West Indies. According to reports, the team claimed one of the worst records in One Day International cricket history in the match against West Indies at the ICC World Cup 2015.
According to a news report published by Dawn, Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Ahmed Khan and PCB board member Najam Sethi have been named as respondents in the petition.
The petitioner raised several questions regarding the poor performance of the cricket team in the World Cup and urged the court to investigate the reason. Lahore High Court's Justice Ijazul Hassan will hear the case in Lahore on Wednesday, Feb 24.
