MP Sajin De Vass Gunwardena filed a petition at Colombo High Court on July 9 asking the courts to reconsider the order made by the Colombo Magistrate.
The petition was scheduled to be taken up June 11 before High Court Judge Padmini Ranawaka Gunathilake.
The MP was arrested regarding the misappropriation of 22 vehicles belonging to the presidential secretariat during the previous president’s regime.
