Three people have died as a result of an accident in Ranwala, Kegalle early Friday morning
Police said that the accident had occurred when a tipper truck had collided with a lorry at around 4.30 a.m. The tipper truck, plying from Colombo to Kegalle, had collided with the lorry in question as it had attempted to evade hitting two pedestrians.
Police said that however that the two pedestrians and the driver of the lorry had died owing to the collision.
The driver of the tipper truck and the accomplice of the driver had sustained injuries. Police said that the remains of the victims are placed at the Kegalle Hospital.
