Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that he had no intention to take steps in a bid to split the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
He pointed out that he has never abandoned the party as well.
The observation was made at an event held at the residence of North Central Provincial Council former Chief Minister S.M. Ranjith in Kala Wewa, Anuradhapura.
