Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya officially retired from his duties as elections commissioner on Friday.
However, he said that he will perform his duties until a new elections commission is established in line with the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.
Mahinda Deshapriya handed over the necessary documents to the Department of Pensions this morning.
