Sanath Jayasuriya has tendered his resignation from the post of Chairman of Selectors for Sri Lanka Cricket.
The resignation letter has thereby been officially handed over to the Minister of Sports Navin Dissanayake. Jayasuriya says in his letter that he has given his of his best to serve in the capacity of Chairman of Selectors during his tenure.
He also noted that he will always be available if Sri Lanka Cricket needs him, to serve the country in the future.
