A system to obtain data on vehicle ownership and other information via the internet was introduced on Tuesday.
This new e-service was introduced by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka and the Department of Motor traffic.
A number of services including the expiry date and validity period of the revenue License and the vehicle registration number could be obtained by logging on to the official website of the Department of Motor Traffic .
The e-service offers a numbers of services free where if a detailed report is needed, payments can be made through a credit card and the report can be obtained from the Department of Motor Traffic by confirming one’s identity.
