Sri Lankan drug kingpin arrested in Pakistan

The man said to be the kingpin in Sri Lanka’s narcotic drug dealing Mohammed Siddique has been arrested, and brought to the island this morning.
He was taken in during a joint operation by intelligence teams of the two countries.
Siddique is said to be a close friend of Wele Suda, another drug dealer also arrested in Pakistan.
Both were arrested together, but Siddique was not deported to Sri Lanka, as he is married to a Pakistani woman, Amina.
The sister of a notorious drug dealer in that country, Amina, and Siddique had first lived at Majid Road, Maradana.
Siddique has had close connections with the Muslim underworld and he had Olcott and Army Jaya as his close associates.
He was last arrested in Sri Lanka over a weapon possession charge, and he had first met Olcott while in prison.
With the assistance of Olcott, Siddique had gone to India, where he was imprisoned, but escaped and came back to Sri Lanka.
Joining Olcott again, Siddique went to Dubai along with Pakistani drug dealers friendly with Olcott.
Investigations have revealed that it was Siddique who had entirely supplied heroin to Olcott.
Wele Suda and Siddique were behind the 85.5 kilos of heroin seized in Kelaniya days before Poson full moon poya last year.
The heroin had been found in a container brought from Pakistan.
According to Interpol, the 46 year old Siddique is fluent in Sinhala, Tamil, English and Urdu languages.
