Sri Lanka Cricket on Tuesday decided to extend the tenure of coaching consultant Rumesh Ratnayake till the end of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
Ratnayake who represented Sri Lanka as a pacemen joined the Sri Lankan cricket team for a period of two weeks.
The extension could be attributed to Sri Lanka’s week bowling performance during the opening game of the World Cup as well as the two warm up games played prior to it.
