A protest was staged outside the house of Democratic Party Parliamentarian Jayantha Kettagoda, demanding that he hand over his Parliament seat to former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka.
The protesters initially staged a protest at the Malabe town and later made their way to Kettagoda’s house and staged a demonstration.
The police placed barricades around the house in order to prevent any violent situation from arising.
