Wele Suda was to be produced in court today but the CID did not produce him and instead informed court that his life could be in danger if he is transported out of prison.
Lawyers however told the High Court that Wele Suda should be produced in court as an order had been issued to that effect.
Colombo High Court Judge Devika Tennakoon later postponed the case and instructed the CID to produce the suspect in court at the next hearing.
